Antiquing Creams are ideal for antiquing non-porous surfaces or sealed porous surfaces. They are formulated to easily antique textured surfaces creating a distressed, aged, or patina effect.

  • Opaque, matte finish
  • Non-permanent for unlimited working time prior to sealing
  • Permanent once sealed
  • Available in 1 oz bottle
  • Simply apply the cream and allow it to dry thoroughly. Once dry, remove with a damp cloth. Wipe back as much or as little of the Antiquing Creams as you prefer. Buff to a sheen with a soft cloth, or seal with any of the Media varnishes. To seal and stop it from shifting, use a soft brush to apply the varnish. Sealing supplies a barrier so that more layers of Antiquing Creams can be applied.
  • Antiquing Creams can also be used with the Crackle Glaze. After the crackle has dried, rub in the Antiquing Cream. Once dry, wipe back with a damp cloth.
