REFUND AND RETURNS POLICY

OVERVIEW

This Refund and Returns Policy applies to purchases made through the Scrap-a-Doodles website, which is owned and operated by Shack Africa LLC, a company incorporated under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America.


We strive to ensure that every customer is satisfied with their purchase. This policy explains the circumstances under which products may be returned, exchanged, refunded, or cancelled.


RETURN AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED

Before returning any product, customers must contact us and obtain a Return Authorization Number (RAN).


Returns received without prior authorization may be refused and returned to the sender.

STANDARD PRODUCTS (IN-STOCK ITEMS)

For products that are regularly stocked and not specially ordered, customers may return unopened, unused, and undamaged products within 7 days of delivery.


To qualify for a refund:


• The product must be unused and unopened.
• The product must be returned in its original packaging.
• All seals, labels, shrink-wrap, accessories, manuals, and packaging materials must remain intact.
• The return must be initiated within 7 days of delivery.
• The product must arrive at the approved return location within 14 days of delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.


A reasonable handling or restocking fee may apply where permitted by law.


PRE-ORDER AND SPECIALLY IMPORTED PRODUCTS

Products marked as Pre-Order, Pre-Sold, Special Order, Custom Order, or Special Import are sourced specifically for the customer and may not be eligible for standard returns.


Unused, unopened, and undamaged pre-order products may be returned subject to a handling and restocking fee of up to 20% of the purchase price.


Orders for pre-order or specially imported products cancelled after confirmation but before shipment may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 30% of the purchase price to recover supplier, procurement, administrative, and processing costs.


Unless required by applicable law or where a product is defective, refunds for pre-order products may be issued as store credit at our discretion.


CUSTOM PRODUCTS

Products manufactured, customized, personalized, specially produced, or ordered specifically to customer requirements may not be cancelled, returned, exchanged, or refunded except where required by applicable law or where a manufacturing defect is confirmed.


MACHINES, EQUIPMENT, AND PRINTERS

Machines, printers, electronic equipment, and similar products are non-returnable once used, installed, activated, or configured, except where a verified manufacturing defect exists.

Unused machines and equipment may be returned only if:


• They remain unopened or unused;
• They are returned in original packaging;
• All accessories and documentation are included;
• They are returned within the applicable return period; and
• They are accompanied by proof of purchase.


This policy helps preserve product integrity and ensures quality assurance for all customers.


DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

We take product quality seriously and maintain strict quality-control procedures.


If you receive a defective product, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible and no later than 7 days after delivery.


Depending on the circumstances, we may request:


• Photographs or video evidence;
• Additional product information;
• Return of the product for inspection; or
• Manufacturer evaluation.


If a product is confirmed to be defective due to manufacturing fault and not misuse, improper installation, accidental damage, or normal wear and tear, we may, at our discretion:


• Repair the product;
• Replace the product; or
• Issue a refund.


Claims relating to manufacturing defects must generally be reported within 30 days of delivery unless a longer manufacturer warranty applies.


RETURN SHIPPING

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless:


• The wrong product was supplied;
• The product arrived damaged; or
• A manufacturing defect has been confirmed.


Where a return is approved due to our error or a confirmed defect, we will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.


CONDITION OF RETURNED PRODUCTS

Returned products must be properly packaged to prevent damage during transit.


Products returned damaged due to inadequate packaging may be rejected or subject to deductions from any refund.


Products that show signs of use, installation, modification, abuse, neglect, accidental damage, missing components, or missing packaging may not qualify for a refund.


REFUND PROCESSING

Once a returned product has been received and inspected, we will notify the customer of the outcome.


Approved refunds will generally be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible.


Refund processing times may vary depending on payment providers, financial institutions, and banking systems.


Shipping charges paid at the time of purchase are generally non-refundable unless:


• The return results from our error; or
• The product is confirmed to be defective.


RETURN LOCATION

Approved returns may be directed to one of our authorized return facilities.


The appropriate return address will be provided when a Return Authorization Number is issued.


Customers should not return products without receiving return instructions.


ORDER CANCELLATIONS


Orders may be cancelled before shipment, subject to any applicable fees relating to pre-orders, special orders, custom products, or specially imported products.


Once an order has shipped, it will be subject to the return procedures outlined in this policy.


If a cancelled order is later required, a new order must be placed. Product availability cannot be guaranteed.


STATUTORY RIGHTS


Nothing in this Refund and Returns Policy limits, excludes, or replaces any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
