SHIPPING POLICY

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed through the Scrap-a-Doodles website, which is owned and operated by Shack Africa LLC, a company incorporated under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America.

Orders placed through this website may be fulfilled and delivered through authorized third-party warehousing, logistics, fulfillment, and courier service providers.

By placing an order through our website, you agree to the terms set out in this Shipping Policy.

ORDER PROCESSING

Orders are generally processed once payment has been successfully received and verified.

Processing times may vary depending on product availability, order volume, inventory location, supplier lead times, public holidays, and other operational factors.

Orders are not processed, packed, or shipped on weekends or public holidays unless otherwise stated.

DELIVERY AREAS

We currently deliver throughout South Africa and to selected international destinations.

If delivery is unavailable to your location, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and arrange a refund where appropriate.

SHIPPING COSTS

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout unless otherwise stated.

Certain oversized, heavy, bulk, custom, or specialty products, including but not limited to machinery, furniture, and selected large-format items, may require a separate shipping quotation.

Free shipping promotions do not apply to products specifically excluded from such promotions.

Where a shipping quotation is required after checkout, a Scrap-a-Doodles representative will contact you for approval before shipment. If you choose not to accept the shipping quotation, your order may be cancelled and any amounts paid for the affected products will be refunded.

SOUTH AFRICAN DELIVERIES

For qualifying deliveries within South Africa, the total amount displayed at checkout includes all applicable VAT and charges associated with the order unless otherwise expressly stated.

Customers will not be charged additional customs duties or import taxes for qualifying deliveries within South Africa unless specifically indicated during checkout.

DELIVERY TIMES

Delivery timeframes provided on the website are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Delivery times may vary depending on:

SAME-DAY AND EXPRESS SHIPPING

Products identified as eligible for same-day or expedited shipping are generally dispatched within one business day after payment confirmation.

While every effort is made to meet these timeframes, dispatch and delivery dates are estimates only and may be affected by stock availability, operational requirements, courier schedules, and circumstances beyond our control.

DELIVERY ADDRESS ACCURACY

Customers are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and current delivery information when placing an order.

Scrap-a-Doodles and Shack Africa LLC are not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, losses, additional charges, or other costs resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or incorrect delivery information supplied by the customer.

If an order must be redirected or re-shipped due to incorrect information supplied by the customer, additional shipping charges may apply.

ORDER TRACKING

Where available, shipment tracking information will be provided once an order has been dispatched.

Tracking information is provided for convenience only and remains subject to updates and availability from the relevant courier or logistics provider.

PRE-ORDER PRODUCTS

Products marked as “Pre-Order” are products that are not immediately available for shipment.

Pre-order products will only be reserved or ordered once full payment has been received.

Estimated arrival and delivery dates for pre-order items are provided for guidance only and may change due to supplier schedules, manufacturing delays, transportation delays, customs processing, or other circumstances beyond our control.

COLLECTION OF ORDERS

Where available, customers may be offered the option to collect products from a designated collection point.

Customers will be notified when their order is ready for collection.

Valid identification and proof of purchase may be required before products are released.

RISK OF LOSS AND OWNERSHIP

Ownership of products transfers to the customer only once full payment has been received by Shack Africa LLC.

Risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer upon successful delivery to the delivery address provided by the customer, or upon collection by the customer or their authorized representative.

Customers are encouraged to inspect shipments promptly upon receipt and report any visible damage within a reasonable time.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products may be legally imported into their destination country.

International shipments may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, clearance fees, or other government-imposed charges in the destination country.

Unless expressly stated otherwise during checkout, such charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Scrap-a-Doodles and Shack Africa LLC have no control over customs charges and cannot predict the amount of such charges.

CUSTOMS DELAYS

International shipments may be subject to customs inspections and clearance procedures.

These procedures may result in delays that are outside our control and are not included in estimated delivery timeframes.

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities or government agencies.

COURIER SERVICES

We use independent third-party courier, freight, logistics, and fulfillment providers.

While we take reasonable steps to ensure that products are delivered safely and efficiently, we are not liable for delays caused by courier operations, customs procedures, transportation disruptions, labor disputes, weather events, government actions, or other events beyond our reasonable control.

FORCE MAJEURE

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather conditions, pandemics, government actions, labor disputes, transportation disruptions, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, supply chain interruptions, customs delays, or other unforeseen events.
