The ribbon Printer works by applying heat to a colored transfer film.
The ink in the transfer film melts and sticks onto the ribbon.
Thermal transfer films are also known as foils.
You will get best results from printing on ribbons with a very smooth surface.
We recommend polyester satin ribbons as we have found that these give the best results.
