Product Instruction

Can I Paint on Polymer Clay?

After curing, you can paint on any oven-bake clay, including the clays from the Sculpey Soufflé™ Multipack. For the best results, use water-based acrylic paints and test an out-of-sight section of your project first. Then apply the paint and allow it to dry entirely before observing for any interactions with the clay.

It's also helpful to test a concealed section of your project before glazing a painted piece. As above, apply the glaze and let it dry completely before noticing any interactions.

You can use any paint on your Sculpey Soufflé™ creation if you seal the piece with two or three thin layers of Sculpey® Gloss Glaze. Apply several thin coats rather than one thick coat for the best coverage.

Will sealing my clay piece with Sculpey® glaze make it waterproof?

No, using Sculpey glazes will not make your creations waterproof.

Sculpey Soufflé™ Is Ideal for Making Jewellery

You can use Sculpey Soufflé™ with Liquid Sculpey® to make any number of eye-catching jewellery designs. Whether you're interested in bracelets, pendants, beads or necklaces, the sky's the limit to what you can create with the Sculpey Soufflé™ Multipack.

Try using a section of the Liquid Sculpey® Lace Mold design to make earrings by layering the baked liquid lace pieces over various Sculpey Soufflé™ clays found in this multipack. If you are unsure which type of clay to choose for your earrings or other design, our team is always happy to offer recommendations. Reach out to a Sculpey® representative with any questions about our clay lines, tools or mediums.

Baking Instructions

  • Bake at 275 °F (130 °C) for 30 minutes per 1/4 in (6 mm) thickness.
  • DO NOT MICROWAVE.
  • DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME.

Please make sure your work area is covered, and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey Tools™ Oven-Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.
